INVEST NI INNOVATION VOUCHERS PROGRAMME

The February 2012 call is open to all small enterprises, including Limited companies, sole traders, partnerships, etc. Please see 'Am I Eligible?' section for further information.
Innovation Vouchers are designed to enable small Northern Ireland enterprises to access knowledge and expertise to develop innovative solutions to business issues.
The programme provides a voucher of up to £4000 to enable small enterprises to engage with one of the 41 universities, colleges and other publicly funded research organisations throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
A company may apply for up to three vouchers for different projects. A 2nd or 3rd voucher can be applied for once the previous project is completed and the voucher has been redeemed. It is only possible to have one ‘live voucher’ at a time.

Music (developing technology including mobile, web, software. Virtual acoustic instruments, sound and interactivity, digital composition)
Post Production and Visual Effects
E-Learning
New business model developmentApplications should clearly demonstrate the following:- The innovative nature of the project
- The deliverables expected from the project and the resultant benefits to the company
- The specialist skills and expertise required from one of the 41 Public Sector Knowledge ProvidersWhere there is a solution available from the private sector or from other Invest NI support mechanisms, it is unlikely that an innovation voucher will be awarded.
